During a heat wave here in San Diego we ran into hot air blowing into our house… Like most HVAC companies they were booked out a week plus but Chris and his professionalism was amazing… He was texting and providing guidance which included pictures recommendations troubleshooting, and it helped us fix our problem. My very old AC finally stopped working.  Two very well known and very large companies came out and gave me quotes to replace everything - $24000 for one and $46000 for another - because that’s what they said was necessary.   I decided I needed a 3rd opinion.  Called Reliable and was immediately told “sounds like you had a salesman come out.”  Alex came out a couple days later and within about 2 hours my very old machine was up and running again.  All of those “major issues” the first 2 companies identified were no longer  an issue.  My furnace was suddenly perfectly fine and my ductwork was adequate. Honesty in a trade professional is the most important thing to me.  Alex could have gone along with the other two companies and probably came in well under them and sold me a whole new system. Instead, for a tiny fraction of the cost of a new system my current one is running fine and will get me through this season at least. AC unit was freezing up after 4-6 hours of confuse use. Spoke with Chris and he was super knowledgeable and was able to get someone out the fix the issues the next day. Needed a deep clean on the indoor evaporator coil and to replace a failing TXV valve. Got a call when the work was finished along with videos and pictures since I wasn’t home. We had a bad experience with a different HVAC company (basically they started the job, left everything "undone" so we needed help with knowing our options on a home that was for sale. Chris was amazing by telling us what needed to be done. We ended up not doing anything as we figured the new buyer would have the work done themselves. Meanwhile, the a/c unit was taken apart by previous guy  (Raphael Cota, fyi buyer be super aware)... but Chis took the time from his over busy schedule and put it back together again at a very low cost! Chris was very on top with communication, with giving straight facts and overall very pleasant to work with. I 1000% recommend him for any HVAC job. He's amazing and so on top of everything. Family owned and operated. I've used Reliable heating, cooling, and air twice,  and each time, was an amazing experience. I called because the A/C stopped working at my son's house, and we needed it repaired ASAP. Spoke with Alex (owner), and explained that there was a clicking noise coming from the compressor. My son and I watched as Alex diagnosed the problem as the capacitor, and contactor. Luckily, he had the parts to fix our Air Conditioning problem on the spot. The unit turned on, and when tested, it wasn't blowing very cold air (we wondered why the house was not cooling very well even when A/C was running). Alex told us the unit was very low on refrigerant, and added it. Alex was honest and extremely professional with this visit and when I used his company to repair my older A/C at my house a few years ago. My son (26) had experienced technicians that weren't honest in the past, and to witness an honest guy not try to upsell anything was valuable. He provided by far the best price and value from 5 bids for our Furnace replacement and Heat Pump addition.
